Be like water
The supreme good is like water:
benefits all life, imperceptibly.
It flows even in the most secluded places,
where no one chooses to be,
and is therefore very close to the Tao.
It lives only in the quietest places
His deep heart is always clear.
He offers himself the greatest kindness.
It keeps up its pace as well as its promises.
It dominates its tributaries just as it dominates its people.
It adapts to all needs.
It moves at the right time.
He never flaunts his goodness,
and therefore never attracts any guilt.
